Bluebonnets

San Antonio Zoo

We made the kiddos 1st trip to the zoo over spring break! Hard to believe Jillian is 3 years old and had never been to the zoo. Do we get props for taking Grayson so early? Jillian wasn't too sure about it at first, partly b/c she kept falling down for some reason but she was a trooper and eventually likes looking at the animals.

Grayson of course did wonderfully! He stayed in the stroller most of the time and took a long nap but he was awake to see some of the animals.

Grayson is 6 Months Old

Grayson is now 6 months old! It is hard to believe! We had his 6 month well check over spring break and his doctor gave him an A+ for growth. He is officially back on the growth chart! He weighs 15 pounds, 1 ounce and is at the 12th percentile. He is 25 1/2 inches at the 25th percentile and of course his head is giant at the 95% percentile. At the appointment I brought up more concerns about Grayson's back and hips. The doctor looked at him and seemed to think he had some Scoliosis going on. She referred us for x-rays of the back and hips. She called us back the next day to say that the Scoliosis screening was negative but she referred us to an Orthopedic specialist to look at Grayson's hips. We saw the specialist last Monday and he said that Grayson was fine. He recommended continued PT for his Torticollis and wants to see us back in 3 months to see how he is progressing. We still have a long way to go but Grayson is improving. He is now trying to roll over and he can roll over but he can't get his arm out or lift his head. When he does lift his head he is too top heavy and just rolls back over onto his back. He is working so hard and does so well during his therapy and stretches. He is really starting to grab at everything and he loves playing in his exersaucer. He is talking (screaming) a lot now and is really starting to notice everything, like his sister, the dog, and the cat. He is such a happy baby!
