Well it has been a long time since I have posted an updated on
Grayson. We went for his 4 month check up back in January and he had officially fallen off of the growth chart. He only weighed 11 pounds, 4 ounces!
Grayson has struggled with his weight gain and we have had many appointments for weight checks. He always seems to do really well for a while and then he levels off and doesn't gain for a while. The doctor recommended solid foods right away. She also had us start mixing his formula a little differently so he would get more calories per ounce of formula. She told us to start cereal once a day and that hopefully by the end of the week he would be adjusted to eating it and then to start giving it to him twice per day.
This was
Grayson's 1st go at the cereal. He didn't really know what to think.

He got the hang of it pretty quickly and by the end of the week he was eating it very well!
Grayson is now really into playing with his toys! He loves to lay on his activity mat and pull on his toys.

He also likes to play with his sister. Here Jillian had him playing tea party with her so she had to give him a cup to hold.

As you can see
Grayson finally started growing! We ended up back at the doctor at the end of January b/c he had his 1st ear infection and he had gained almost a whole pound! We were able to cancel his next weight check appointment. I kept weighing him on the scale at home and now I think he is up over 14 pounds. Hopefully when we go back next week for his 6 month well check, he will be back on the charts!

It is very easy to get smiles out of
Grayson. He will be photogenic like his Mommy!

Grayson is now eating lots of fruits and veggies and we can't seem to shovel it in fast enough for him.

No matter how much he grows though, this is still how he likes to sleep. It looks so uncomfortable but that is how he likes it.
Grayson is also starting to play with his
exersaucer. He likes to push up on his legs and stand. He still has to be propped up with a blanket behind him b/c he is so small but he is getting there.

He loves playing with the toys, looking at the lights, and hearing all the sounds.

In addition to playing with new toys and of course his feet,
Grayson gets thrown into playing things with his sister. Here he is riding his sister like a horse. I'm pretty sure this was Daddy's idea but Jillian thought it was so much fun and she kept asking to do it again.
Grayson is also big enough to sit in his high chair

He is also is big enough to start taking baths in the big bathtub with his sister. Jillian thinks this is so much fun and she likes to help give
Grayson a bath. The next step is to get
Grayson sleeping in the crib in the room with his sister. Slowly but surely we are getting there. He sleeps really good at night but at the first sign of stuffiness or a cough, which is often, he wakes up during the night and usually has to be moved from his cradle to his chair.

As you can see in the pictures
Grayson often tilts his head to one side. At his 4 month well check, our doctor also referred us for a PT evaluation.
Grayson has
Torticollis, which means that the muscles in his neck are weak and he cannot hold his head up straight. He is still quite a bobble head and he is not yet rolling over on his own. We have been going to PT every other week and
Grayson is getting stronger every day! I also think the weight gain is helping him in getting stronger as well! We are headed in the right direction slowly but surely!
