Fun With Bandit

We have been trying for months to get a video of Jillian laughing but to no avail. Every time she is laughing, I run to get the camera and as soon as she sees me she stops. I finally got her today. Of course she was laughing even more before I got the camera.

Do you notice anything weird at the end of the video? We promise we are not intentionally torturing our child. She has been a little sick with a runny nose and congestion. I guess she had to get some of it out.

Mamma

Last week Jillian said her first word - or at least what we are considering her first word. When she first said it, I was in the kitchen making her bottle and she was fussy because it was time for bed. She said mamma but I said it didn't count because she was crying. James insisted that it did.

Now I agree that it was her first word. She says it all the time now but it is mostly when she is fussy and wants me to pick her up. I was being a little mean in the next video because, yes she is crawling after me trying to get me to pick her up. Cruel I know but I was trying to get her talking on video.

On another note, we got Jillian an activity table because she was so busy trying to pull up on everything that she wouldn't play with any of her toys. It was a good purchase because she loves it!

Videos are all I have for a while. We had to send out camera in to be repaired. I won't mention any names but someone dropped it. Let's just say it wasn't me and it actually wasn't Jillian reaching for it on the table either. Hopefully we will have it back in time for Halloween.

New Adventures

Jillian is becoming more adventurous and moving around quite fast. I reorganized some of the kitchen cabinets to prepare for child-proofing them. I made one cabinet that is the farthest from the stove that is just for Jillian will all of the plastic, unbreakable stuff. The first time I opened it for her, she caught on very quickly.

She even tried to crawl in the cabinet but when she heard the camera being turned on she got back out.
Jillian is starting to eat some finger foods and Bandit has discovered that she now has real food up there and has begun the begging. Jillian willingly gives in because she thinks it is hilarious when Bandit licks puffs out of her hands.

We went out to eat to celebrate Grandma's birthday and Jillian was introduced to mash potatoes - she ate them up!

She was getting very tired at dinner though and kept putting her head on the table so Daddy joined in and made it a game. She does this quite often now when she is eating so I think she thinks it is a game all the time now.

Jillian is moving fast now and there is no obstacle that will get in her way. She will crawl over (especially people) or under anything. It is just too much trouble to go around things.
