Picnic

Jillian attended her first Sacred Heart Church Picnic this past weekend. I'm sure it will be her first of many. Everyone joked with me that this was the easiest picnic I'll ever have with her because she wasn't mobile and I didn't have to go chasing after her everywhere. She did very well and slept the majority of the time. I don't think she knew what else to do with all the noise so she just went to sleep. Here we are hanging out by the rides/games which I'm sure she'll be into in another year or so.
Hanging out at the auction
Here is how she spent the majority of the day
Bug Eyes! What is all the noise?
Grandpa used Jillian's stroller to hold his beers
And finally - so happy to be back at home with her Daddy - she was full of smiles when she saw him!

Rolling Over - well at least trying to. Jillian has been rolling over on her side alot but that is as far as she gets. On Tuesday she was in her activity gym on her back when I left the room and I came back to this. She was all the way over but the silly arm was stuck!

Here is some more proof - her butt is up in the air

Swimming

Jillian went to the pool for the 1st time today. Well actually she went another day as well but she slept the whole time and then when she woke up it looked like rain so we had to leave. She was a trooper! She slept for an hour which gave Mommy and Daddy nice relaxing time and then she got in her cute swimsuit (thanks Cousin Willa!) The water was quite cold so we didn't stay too long. She really didn't know what to think about the water. She didn't cry but she really didn't smile either. I guess she'll grow to like as she gets older.
All ready to go!

Not sure what to think
Butterfly kisses with Daddy
Trying out her floaty but her hands are much more interesting than the waterSo happy to be out of the waterDaddy is the coolest to play with!

Here are so more fun pictures that I could not resist - sleeping with daddy
Who could resist this face? Doesn't she look so sweet and innocent
And my favorite - no Mommy I wasn't doing anything, I promise

Jillian's Latest

Jillian attended her first wedding the last weekend in April when Jeff and Teresa got married in Wimberley. Unfortunately we have no pictures of her at the actual wedding. It was kind of stressful for me at least. Jillian had a major blow out all over her pretty dress. Luckily I had a onesie on under her dress or we would have had a major disaster. Also luckily I was wearing black so if I got any on me it wasn't noticeable! We did get this picture before the wedding - she was talking to Grandpa.

Jillian has been discovering a lot of new things lately. She definately has discovered her hands and looks at them and eats them often. She has also discovered that her tongue is the coolest invention ever especially since it goes in and out. James has been determined to teach her about her feet so this was his attempt at doing so. It took a while to get the picture with her actually holding both feet but we did it.

Jillian also attending Aunt Marcella and Uncle Henry Joe's 50th wedding annevirsary celebration. James was actually working so Jillian and I stayed in Hallettsville for a few days with Granny and Grandpa. Here's Granny holding her babies.

While in Hallettsville I introduced Jillian to the garden and picking beans. I finally got her to hold her beans - gotta start them early.

Grandpa also had birthday while we were in Hallettsville. He carried Jillian around saying she was his birthday present!

Mother's Day - I enjoyed my 1st Mother's Day. I dressed Jillian up in her pretty dress since I discovered that it actually fit her. (We had a fashion show the other day and I tried a bunch of her clothes on her to see what fit.)

Just this morning Jillian discovered how to hold her rattle. I've been trying to get her to do it for weeks now. She actually held it and moved it around for about 5 minutes. She didn't even hit herself in the head with it! Sorry I don't know why some of these pictures are the wrong way.

Last but not least - Jillian has been talking a lot more - at least when she's not playing with her tongue! She was talking to Daddy the other night and it was so cute that James actually said it made him cry! Of course as soon as she discovered me with the video camera she was so fascinated that she stopped talking.
